30th Birthday & Graduation party ideas
A good friend of mine is turning 30 in May, and her DH called me and is planning a surprise party for her and wants my help. This is also gonna be her graduation party as well, and its just a big milestone all around for her.
He has the place and the catering handled, but now for theme and such he's a little shaky and asked my assistance. I wish I was better with this stuff!! 
The best thing I could come up with is family, friends, and faith as kind of a theme, because these are the 3 things that have helped her get to where she is today...especially her faith.
So far the only idea I thought of was asking people to bring a couple of their fav photos of the birthday girl/graduate thru the years and we can make a memory board for her at the party. That's all I got.
Is there anything else you could think of to make the party "special"? Any themes, decor or ideas I can go with at at all?

Black and white theme.... word the invitation: I hope you are ready to party all night, my only request is your wear black and white.

What field did she graduate in? When DH got his PhD in Astronomy we had a surprise party and did the theme as stars. I got rocket ship kitchen timers as favors, wrapped them in star paper. I made place cards that had star cutouts.

I would go with a theme of the field that they have graduated from or something that this person loves. Like movies, the beach, music, a color..etc.

i agree! think about something shes really into, or the feild shes graduating in and maybe come up with something to go along with that... i LOVE the ideas above relating to astronomy. you should definitely try to do something fun like that with the field shes graduating in...
