30 Day Shred Users
Has anyone done the full 30 days? I never can stick with a workout for more than 2 weeks- tops. In my entire life I have never worked out consistently for more than 2 weeks.
SOOOO- I had done this workout a few times in the past. It really was a great workout and I loved it But of course- I didn't stick with it because of my laziness.
Anyway- for those who are consistent with it- can you tell me about your results.? Did you lose pounds? Inches? Dress sizes? Etc...
I'm just curious because I'm thinking of starting it up again....

Re: 30 Day Shred Users
No way. The most I've ever done it is 4 days in a row. If I'm going to work out 7 days a week (which is not particularly healthy, according to my trainer and various other things I've read) I would need some variety. I'll alternate the Shred with Bob's weight loss yoga tape (LOVE it!) or go running.
I personally don't see how 25 minutes of anything (even as tough as this DVD is) is enough to change your body in a major way.
By the way - if you're just starting, I found that the second workout is more enjoyable than the first, and if you follow Anita, it's even easier than the first (no pushups!).

Yeah I don't think you can do it for 30 days in a row. The first time I did it- I couldn't work out again for a full 72 hours- that is how sore I was. I couldn't even get on and off the toilet without major pain! Much less do it again the next day. I try to do it a few days a week and do other things with it.
And you are right- that first workout annoys the cr@p out of me- that is probably why I can never stick with this DVD. There are times that I would shut the sound off and play my Ipod in the background- to drown out Jillian's voice...

Re: 30 Day Shred Users
I do it maybe once or twice a week, and I always do two workouts in row....either level 1 and 2, or 2 and 3. Its tough when you first start, but after 30 days I'd imagine it wouldnt be as much of a challenge as your body gets used to the workout. I'd never be able to stick with it for 30 days straight though...if only because she annoyes the cr@p out of me also.

Re: 30 Day Shred Users
I only started this DVD a couple of weeks ago and I also work out at a gym, so I've been doing it 2-3 times a week. I'm still on Level 1 (tried Level 2 the other day and I am clearly not ready for it yet!) and I find it is SUCH a great workout! I sweat just as much, if not more, as when I go jogging. I really don't think anyone could do this workout for 30 days in a row... it's pretty tough. Plus you need to give your muscles a rest. On the days I don't do the DVD, I make sure I get my cardio in... either a class at the gym or the elliptical.
agree, after a while listening to the narration can be annoying, so I just mute the TV and turn on a good radio station!

Oh it's definitely a great workout. Really effective for only 20 minutes. I am starting to think maybe it wasn't meant to be done 30 days in a row- but for a TOTAL of 30 days to see results- but maybe over 2 months- with days to rest in between kwim?

Re: 30 Day Shred Users
My only problem with the workout was I felt there was not enough ab work. Other than that, it was kick azz. I just hate working out at home, so I haven't done it in a while.
