3 month old starting to teeth
I know it's early, but dd is def teething...drooling and chewing, not sucking, on her fingers... She has some bumps on her gums that I can feel when I put my finger in her mouth...what can I do for her? I give her some tethers but she can't always get the right parts I. Her mouth and then gets frustrated...any advice?

Re: 3 month old starting to teeth
from 3m to 4m was the hardest because he couldn't hold any teethes himself and when I'd hold it for him, seemed like he'd get mad.
I found that giving him a pacifier worked sometimes, he'd sort of pull it out and chew on it.
At 4m, the best teether in the world was
Learning Curve Grab Apple
it was so easy for him to hold and that "stem" is perfectly positioned for him to chew on. Saved our lives.
At 6m I started giving mum mums, and those have been our "teething biscuit" of choice for a long time now. Mum mum label says you can give as early as 4m, and I think I could have. They are crunchy but melt like cotton candy.

Re: 3 month old starting to teeth
My favorite teether for my son at that age, before he could really hold and manipulate objects, was a frozen washcloth! Just take a washcloth, soak it, twist it, put it in a ziplock bag, and put it in the freezer. After it freezes, take it out and give it to her. It's pretty easy to hold and any part of it that gets in her mouth will feel good for her. It does get messy though, because as it starts to melt, the water gets all over them! My son never seemed to mind

Re: 3 month old starting to teeth
Hey, is she teething on top or bottom? DD is also 3 months old and for the past few days she's been eating her hand, chewing on the pacifier and not feeding like her normal self. I didn't think she would be teething at this age but I felt something on the top gum. I know bottom teeth comes first...So i'm still a little skeptical

Re: 3 month old starting to teeth
its interesting you post this bc my DD is 11 weeks on wed... and she is DROOLING like crazy all of a sudden... and she's putting her entire fist in her mouth to chew on not suck!
My mother and I thought teething maybe but that it was way too early. The dr said not teathing but that it was normal for this age. She didn't check in her mouth.
I'm going to check in her mouth and feel around. Do you see white marks too? Or do you just feel the teeth??
also, were you or the father an early teether??
and can you use the oral numbing gel stuff? little tummies makes some of that stuff. I think there are other brands too. Maybe that would help relive it some?

Re: 3 month old starting to teeth
Yep. happened here too. Teething + 4 month sleep regression = one tired mom. DD cut her first two teeth at 5 months old.
Find a teething toy she really likes. Put paci's in the fridge/freezer. Even a cold spoon will help. I like Humphrey's teething tablets and/or baby tylenol if she's clearly in a lot of pain

Re: 3 month old starting to teeth
My DD started drooling a ton and chomping on her fist at 2-3 months. She even had a few low-grade fevers at 4 months. We were so sure she was going to be an early teether. DH and I both got our first teeth at 4 months. But DD didn't end up cutting any teeth until 7 months. I'm not sure if she actually start the teething process at 3 months or that was just normal drooling.

This teether was the best!! my dd had 2 teeth by 3.5 months so it was hard but paci's and the raspberry like paci's worked the best.
