3 month old not cooing
My son is 3 months old, born at 36 weeks. He has pretty bad silent reflux and is on 1ml of axid 3x a day. I have noticed he isnt cooing. Hes not making any sounds other than crying and a cute lil sound when he yawns. His hearing seems fine and he smiles all the time. Will be bringing it up with his dr next week but wondering if this is very concerning. I think my older dd was cooing around 2 months

Was he doing to earlier? My one DD chatted up a storm at 3 mo. My other DD did not. She started grunting and saying "hoo hoo" around 5 mo. Now she says more words than the chatter. But the chatter never shuts up. Lol

Haha no he never has. I think the problem may end up being that my dd's speech was so advanced and for some reason I worry so much about this lil guy (probably because he was hospitalized for a week and the dr scared the crap out of me)

DD rarely cooed or vocalized at that age. I remember the ped asking if she did I think at her 4 months appointment. We said she rarely made much noise and he didn't say it was a concern, just that he wished he could hear her a bit. Fast forward to her 9 months appointment and the doctor predicted she'd be hyper verbal bc she already had several words. He was spot on and her speech has been very advanced. I think she was just listening and taking it all in in those early months.

My DD was the same. Not a coo or giggle out of her until she was almost 6mo old and even then, it was rare. Fast forward a year and now she never shuts up. It's adorable :)
