3 hour GTT tomorrow.....I have questions
Ugh- NOT looking forward to this. It's OK that I ate a candy bar today- right? I completely forgot about my test tomorrow.
Anyway- for those who took the test:
Did you get sick?
Were you able to function the rest of the day? I plan to go into work after the test- do you think that I'll likely be pushing it?
UGH-I hate that I have to do this....

Everyone reacts differently....
make sure you pack something in your bag to eat right afterwards. When I had to do it when pregnant with DD, I had a couple of granola bars that as soon I was given the okay to leave, I ate.
I felt like cr@p the rest of the day. Headache, sleepy.... but that's also probably because I failed my 3 hour.
Bring something to occupy yourself with too! It's a really boring 3 hours!
ETA: Eating a candy bar today will have no affect on the outcome of your test tomorrow.

The anticipation was worse than the test. I am a HUGE needle wimp and was so anxious about the whole thing.
The drink has a higher sugar concentration than the 1 hour, so be prepared for that, but it still wasn't that bad. The lab I went to took blood and urine before I drank it, and every hour (for three hours) after. It actually flew by and I didn't feel sick or even hungry at all. When it was over I ate the pb&j sandwich I brought with me (definitely bring something to eat), had a bottle of water and headed to work. I felt completely fine the whole day.

PS...the candy bar today should have zero affect on your results. The night before the test I had scrambled eggs and toast then fasted from 10pm-8am when my appt was.

I felt fine during the test- just somewhat bored, and I got kicked a lot because apparently my baby LOVED all the sugar. I ate a filling meal afterwards, and went to work for a normal afternoon, and felt fine.

UGH-I hate that I have to do this....
I took my 3 hour 2 weeks ago and just kept myself occupied for the 3 hours. I brought nintendo ds and magazines and DH they drew my blood before I drank then each hour after. I didnt get sick also had to go to work right after. I did have a bad headache from fasting so I didnt end up going to work that day. I would wait and see how u feel after the last draw like I did before deciding on not going to work. Good Luck!!!
