2nd OB appointment on Friday- UPDATED
Hi Ladies! I have my 2nd 4 week visit on Friday. I will be 10w6d. I was just wondering what to expect. Will we be able to hear the baby's heartbeat at this visit?

UPDATE 3/30- I had my appointment today and it went great! We got to hear the heartbeat, which was such a relief! All of my bloodwork came back perfect and I haven't gained any weight yet...so all was well!

You should be able to if your Dr uses a doppler

They may or may not be able to find the heartbeat with the doppler. If they can't they'll probably just do a quick sono.

Thanks ladies! I don't know if they'll do a sono b/c my ultrascreen is scheduled for 4/9.
What else should I expect at the appointment?

i just had my 2nd appt last nite. I am now 14 weeks. The weighed me , took my blood pressure, checked my urine, and then they used the thing on my belly to see the baby again and hear the heartbeat!

yep, they'll weigh you which SUCKS, urine, and mine did a transvaginal u/s. I had my ultrascreen at the hospital yesterday where they measure the babys neck etc. and crown to rump.

Don't be alarmed if you can not hear hb. I could not hear it until 14 wks. Depends onthe position of the baby.
