2nd baby sick more than first?
I'm a teacher and ds is in pre school so I guess we are bringing home a lot more germs but please tell me it's normal.

2nd baby sick more than first?
DD1 didn't get her first Cold until she was about 7.5 months.
DD2 has been sick twice and is only 3.5 months old.

DD was in the hospital at 4 months old with RSV

Yup! My DD1 didn't get her first cold until she was just about 12 months. DD2 was 6 weeks--and she got many more in her first year.

With dd2 I finally got to see why people rave about the nose frIda lol. My first had roseola at 16 months which was her first fever and never had a stuffy nose until more like 2years old. My lo had been pretty good but got her first fever and a bad cold at 11 months. We were really careful when she was a newborn bc she was a preemie but once she hit 2 months she came everywhere with me.

Yes, it's great. It sat in my older dds closet for years and I didn't get the point but she'd never had s stuffy nose. It was a godsend when my lo had a cold. She couldn't nurse bc she was so stuffy but if I sprayed her with saline and used the nose frida she was so much better. She hated it but it cleared out so much.

Ds2 definitely gets more colds than ds1. But he is getting it from his older brother.

Yes! Absolutely. DS is 4 mos and is on cold #2, which is lingering. DD didn't have her first cold until 9 mos but I will say between years 1 and 2, she was literally sick every 3-4 weeks for an 8 mo period. It was awful and she kept getting me sick, which stunk because I was pregnant!

Yes! He is totally always sick, poor thing. The girls never got sick their first year...

Yes! DS2s first illness was a fever at 3 weeks old which landed him 3 nights in the hospital.  Now at almost 5 months old he is working on his 3rd cold. This is my DS1s first year of "school" and we have all been paying the price of his exposure to the germs!

The nose frida is seriously a live saver. It may seem gross at first but it is one of the best inventions ever!

I agree.
I never used it on J because he didn't have a cold until after he was a year old. With E, she had one much sooner than that thanks to J bringing home germs from nursery. I bought the nose frieda and it was so much better than the aspirator. Hope S is feeling better
