27 1/2 weeks and cramping?
I have been having mild cramping in my lower abdomen on and off all morning.
I finally just called the dr who will call me back.
Do these sound like Braxton Hicks?

not sure... could definitely be braxton hicks. could also be uterine ligament stretching (which can feel crampy later on). could also be coming from a different organ (i.e. maybe you have to poop?  )
are they very frequent or regular?
either way i would let your doctor know.

BH is more of a tightening feeling in your stomach.
I've had cramping on and off during the entire pregnancy. Have you been drinking a lot of water? If not, this could cause cramping. Try to get plenty of fluids and stay off your feet.

This is true...I once felt like i was having cramps and turned out i had gas

they can feel like that, but they can also feel like menstrual cramps. depends on the person, or even on the day.
in my last pregnancy i had contractions from 25 weeks on, with no cervical changes. there were a couple different "kinds" - some felt like the baby was balling up, others felt like AF cramps, others were a combo of both... and all were "braxton hicks"...

I'm waiting for the dr to call me back.
not really having a tightening feeling, more like cramping.
I have been drinking a lot today- especially since i had a lot of salt yesterday.
Baby is still kicking like usual though!

I'm 29 weeks today, and the past couple of weeks I've had cramping on and off. Braxton Hicks is more like a tighting in your lower abdomen, not really cramping.

I don't mean to be nosey, but are urinating alot? You could have the beginnings of a UTI.
