To all the Wonderful People Here on LIF....
This is going to be the hardest thing I have ever written.
I want to thank all of you for your prayers and thoughts in the last couple of weeks for Rogan, Dan and me. I don't think we would have made it through the first week if it wasn't for all of you praying for us...every Dr. told us it was a miracle that I made it through the first night.
This is truly the most horrible thing I can ever have gone through. My heart is broken...and I don't know where I am going to go from here. But I want to let you all know how much it has meant to me to have the support of this family behind me. Donna(mrsmck) printed out the thread and I kept it in my bed for the next few days just for strength.
For those of you who have sent me FM's - thank you...I promise I will respond, it's just taking me some time.
I can't thank Kara enough for keeping you all updated...
I know some of you have asked about fundraiser or gifts...we don't really need anything for ourselves right now, but I promise you that we are going to come up with a worthy cause to donate to. Right now we are leaning towards the antenatal unit of Good Samaritan Hospital only because they were so good to us.
I still can't believe this has happened to us and I feel like it is a horrible nightmare that I need to wake up from...but it's real and it hurts and we have to go through each day. But I wanted to make sure I took the time to let you all know how much you all mean to me and how much strength you have given me.
I always appreciated the family aspect of these boards but never knew exactly how much it could mean until these last two weeks.
I love you all....

Gerty, thank you so much for taking the time to write, I know this could not be easy for you in any way. PLease know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily. Also, more importantly that your son was loved, and had such a strong impact of so many of us. I know there will never be words that can make this pain go away. I am so sorry...so very sorry.
I wish I could give you some words of wisdom that would make some of your pain go away..Perhaps the best I can do is to tell you that I truly understand exactly what you are feeling right now and that Rogan will always be remembered in my home....
