Ethan O L 9/11/07
Well my Due date was 9/21/07 (my parents anniversary) I knew I wasn't going to make it that far. I was ready in August to have this baby come out.
It was 9/11/07AM, I had some mild cramping the past 2 night but thought it was only wishful thinking. That am I had some blood appear ( you all know from where) So I called the midwives (Stonybrook) She said I'm sure you are fine...yes you can go to work...i't just an ordinary day..... Little did we know what was to come.
I tell DH what the midwife says he looks at me and says I don't want you to go to work OK that's fine with me. So we both went out together ( he didn't want me out of his sight) did some earns, he went into his office did some work.....the whole time Im crimping and I mean crimping but silly me think nothing of it.
We get home around 3ish ( my daughter gets home at 4) we have lunch I go into the bathroom ( because I think I Peed on myself). I keep changing my pants because they keep on getting wet ... Silly me my WATER broke.
We call the midwives again ( I was tested + for the strep B) She says take your time getting to the hospital.. eat something, take a shower... DH LETS GO NOW!!! We are only 10 min away -
We get to the hospital I was already 4 cm so we just waited for the midwife to arrive. I think it was like 5pm when she got there, I was then sent to Labor and deliver room.
COntractions are getting worse and worse But Im not taking any drugs NOPE IM FINE!!!!!!!!!! OK give me some drugs NOW!!!! I was 7.5 cm at this point ( was told that once I hit 8cm I can NOT get an epidural) Just made it.
9/11/07 11:59pm Ethan Oswald Leonard came into this world. I truly believe that He will be someone of great importance in this world so remember that name.

Oh wow, he was born right before midnight.
Sounds like you had a pretty quick labor.
Ethan is a cutie.
