birth story and pics
well... i was induced on fri jan 25 i had a dr appt earlier and my BP was very high so she sent me straight to the hospital, i was not dilated at all so they gave me cervadil. 12 hours later when they checked me i was 1 cm dilated but my contractions were causing the baby's heart rate to fluctuate too much, so they removed the cervadil.
40 mins later my water broke on its own and when in buzzed the nurse to tell her we saw that it had meconium in it. they checked me again and i was 2 cm dilated. i was in alot of pain, but they couldn't give me anything because the baby's heart was still all over the place.
About 3 hours later the dr came in and started to give me oxygen because they wanted to make sure the baby had enough.... i was now 4 cm dilated and they were going to start the pitocin so i got the epidural... finally! i had already been laboring for 16 hours in pain.
shortly after that they checked me and i was 6 cm dilated but they were worried about baby's oxygen so they took a needle and took blood from her head
 thank god it was ok... i remained at 6 cm and it had been too long since my water had broken so my dr made the call to give me a c section after 22 hours of labor. i was terrified so they heavily sedated me to calm my nerves...
27 minutes later i was a mommy!!! Jordan Pressley 7 lbs 5 oz 20 inches....worth every second of pain!
