2.5+ year old watching movie over and over
We try and limit DD's TV to 2 hours a day (usually broken up between making dinner and a little before bed) Well now she got hooked on Madagascar 3 and Ice Age 4. She wants to watch 1 of them every day!!
She has lots of language and is very social so I am not concerned at all, just wondering if anyone else's kid does this?

Completely normal! My kids do the same thing, and it's always in cycles.
All of my friends with kids said their DC did this too (their kids are older).

My kids (3&2) watch toy story 1,2,3 on repeat for like 14hrs a day. My youngest even knows all the words and sings the songs. They don't sit there and literally watch every minute of every movie but they like it on in the background while they play.

My son must have seen cars 100 times and he is a normal, bright nine yr old now.

Thats my life right now with Madagascar, and most of all Jake and the Neverland pirates. He has a few others he likes as well and he goes through phases...
I think its normal. My son is 2 years 4 months and speaks in complete sentences. I am not worried. I just prefer him to be more active. I dont want him getting chunky. We set up a token system where he has to earn tv time and it has been working well.
I agre though they arent watching it the whole time.

My DD just turned 2 and her newest obsession is Tarzan. Last month it was Peter Pan.

Re: 2.5+ year old watching movie over and over
I was so uptight with my girls...I didn't put on so much as a Disney movie for them until they were at least 3! Now, after three kids, all bets are off ...my 2.5 year old son's (he's got some unusual selections due to the sisters) favorite movie--which he'll even watch...everyday, pfffft...like 3x a day!--is Judy Moody and the not so Bummer Summer!
