2.5 months...teething pressure...Help!

DS is 2.5 months old and has had a really rough 24 hours. My Dx is teething as he is drooling, mouthing all over his hands etc. I brought him to the ped because his cryin lg was inconsolable but there were no signs of anything else wrong and she agreed it's likely teething pressure. I didn't anticipate him getting this so young! He is sleeping well still but when he wakes they can likely hear his screams in California. I gave him infant tylenol but don't want to do so excessively at such a young age. Teethers don't do the trick because they are all too big for his mouth...he just ends up trying to suck on it. I was thinking if trying a damp/chilled washcloth. Any other tips/tricks? Also has anyone else experienced this so young? If so, was there relief? I pray this won't be the new normal until he cuts the teeth..that could be a while and it breaks my heart to see him in such pain! TIA

Babies teeth tend to move around a lot, but they seem to come in waves, even before they break through. It'll probably just be a couple of days and settle down again. I'd give Tylenol if he's really uncomfortable. We tried the wash cloth idea but DS never took to it. We did buy him a chew toy teether (not one that goes in the fridge) that's just plastic and he LOVED that when he was little.

It will pass!

Get an Amber teething necklace or bracelet, I heard they work wonders and plan to get one for ds.
