TMZ has learned that Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger has died in NY.
He was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3:35 PM ET today. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe it was not a crime.
The 28-year-old actor has a daughter with former fiancee Michelle Williams.

They just reported it on WCBS Radio.
I have to say, I'm very surprised. Not that any of us "know" celebrities, but he always seemed to be a low key, talented actor, focused on his family.
Very sad.

Actor Heath Ledger, one of the stars of "Brokeback Mountain, was found dead in his bed in his Manhattan apartment, at 3:35 p.m., New York City police said Tuesday.
Sleeping pills were found in the bed around him, police said.
Until recently, Ledger lived in Brooklyn.
Police said Ledger's body was found by after a masseuse arrived at the apartment in lower Manhattan. A housekeeper, who let the masseuse in, believed him to be asleep, police said.
The two went into the bedroom and found him nonresponsive, then called 911, police said.

I just hope it is not drug related. I am sure the reak-up with Michelle was not easy on him as it wouldnt be any of us. It is just hard to think a seemingly healthy 28 yr. old would just die in his sleep.
