DS will be 2 next October. A private school in our area has a 2 yr program. Would he be able to attend for the Fall 2017 since he won't be 2 until October? Would it be at the discretion of the school?

it depends on when their age cutoff is but he should be able to go in September (fall 2016).

So here in CT the cutoff is end of Dec. So any kid turning 2 by then was able to go starting in the fall.

Probably, but it depends on the school. Where my DD goes they say that they must be 2 by December 1st.

It depends on the school. Some want them to be 2 by september 1st and some they have to be 2 by december 1st. A lot of programs I have looked at they had to be 2 1/2 by september so it just depends on the program.

Re: 2 yr program

DS school you need to be 2 by December 31 i think. He turns 2 in may so its no issue but i know that there will be kids in his class that are not yet 2 when he starts in the fall.

Dd is in the 2s program now and there are kids who didn't turn 2 until November and even December that year.
