2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
What will be the age difference between the 1st two DC and the the 3rd?
My DC are 15 months apart. Not sure when/if we may have a 3rd.
Do you think it's better to have them all close in age or did/will you space the 3rd more?

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
My DCs are 20 mos apart and the new baby will be 4 years younger than older DC, 28 mos younger than younger DC.
I'm a little scared -- a newborn, a 2yr old, and a 4yr old.

My DD and DS are 17 months apart and DS and the new baby will be 2 weeks shy of 3 yrs apart! It took me a little longer to convince DH to go for #3

The boys will be 22mo when the new baby is born. I like that they will be so close in age! Honestly, I probably would have waited a bit longer, but I am 35 (so I am old! lol).

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
I had three under 2 at one point, twin girls that are 21 months older than their brother. It would have been a bit easier if the girls were one year older. (closer to 3 years apart). When you have three kids who really rely on you for just about everything it's so difficult. Also, you always need someone to be with you, and I personally like my time alone with my kids. I miss being able to go out places with just me and the kids. Even though the oldest may be able to walk without a stroller there is sometimes a jealously when there is a stroller involved, so all three want to be in one, and triple strollers are impractical/expensive and cause a lot of attention lol
On the other hand, they are still so close in age that they enjoy many of the same toys/activities now. (it's finally getting a bit easier as my son is 20 months and my girls are almost 3.5)

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
My girls are 20 mos apart and then DS is 3.5 years younger than his next sister and 5 years younger than the oldest.
I didn't not plan the age gap quite so large between #s 2 and 3, but I guess God did. Although it was great the first time around, I knew I didn't want another "2 under 2" situation again though.
The age difference between all of them is great though...as it would have been no matter what the age difference...it's my family!

My boys are 21 months apart. I want a 3rd now but DH is not on board at this time...lol It was really hard when my 2nd was born and it still is at times, so my brain really says wait a little while more while my heart is in it now. Hopefully by this time next year DH will be on board so we'll see what happens.

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
My first 2 are almost 8 and 5 years old and they are 4 months shy of 3 years apart (32 months) and the baby is almost a year so they are almost 7 years older and about 4 years older than the baby.
So yes, for us we have a larger gap...
- 8 yrs old in January
- 5 years old
- 1 year old in about a week
I was hoping to have the baby sooner, but you take what you can get!
I wouldn't change anything!

My kids are 5y/o, 4y/o and 7 months old. My oldest 2 are 14 months apart. My youngest is 3.5 years younger than my middle child. I love the age gaps they are. My 4 & 5 year old help out a lot and can do a lot of things on their own so I don't feel like I am being pulled 3 different ways.

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
My first 2 are 18mos apart. I wouldn't change it for the world... but working in the city, daycare... I couldn't add another that close.
So DC3 will be 4 years, 3 months younger than DS1 and 2 years, 9 months younger than DS2. I am actually a little nervous about that - I feel like they'll be sooooooooo far apart for so long but I know when they get older it'll seem like nothing.

As hard as it is with my DC being 15 months apart, now I am starting to love the age difference. DS is 2 yrs and 9 months and DD is 18 months. They are like little buddies.
I'm not ready for a third, but I do want one. I just feel bad that the 3rd will probably be like 3-4 years younger than the older two. Does that make sense?

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
My DS's are 20 months apart and bestest buddies. DD is almost exactly 3 years younger than my 2nd DS... so i have a 5 year old a 3 year old and a 3.5 month old. I LOVE the age spacing of my kids. We always wanted to have them close.. but Im glad the boys are closer together bc they ended being the best of friends... and now together they are so in LOVE with their little sister and I feel like though their life they will protect her

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
DD and DS almost exactly 2 years apart, found out we were pg with our 3rd when DS was under 2 months old, we miscarried early last week but they would have been a year apart, we have talked about a 3rd and would rather then closer together instead of further apart. DS and his sister are 13 months apart and they were very close growing up and even now.

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
IF we ever go for a 3rd, it will be a larger gap between 2 and 3. DDs are 13mths apart. DD2 will be 2 in january, and no plans for ttc anytime soon. IF we ever go for a third, it would like be when both girls are in kindergarten, or at least 1 in regular school and the other starting the following year when we are ttc.
that's not to say i don't like them close. i love their age difference and would prefer to have them all close in age. however, i am not a sahm, and daycare for 3 is out of our price range.

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
My dd will be 21 months when this baby is born. We know we want a third but I will be waiting until dd is going into kindergarten before we try again. So that would make my second about 3 years older than my third.

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
My 2 boys are 23 months apart and right now both just turned 3 and 1. We planned on them being close in age. We want a 3rd but are not trying anytime soon, my two are keeping me very busy these days. As much as I love the idea of being pregnant and having another, we will be waiting until at least next summer or late next year to start trying. I give you mamas of 3 so much credit for having them so close in age!

Re: 2 under 2 Moms that have or planning a 3rd
We're planning on spacing the 3rd because having 3 in daycare wouldn't work for us. We're thinking of TTC maybe at the end of next year. At that point DS would be 4 1/2 and DD would be 3 when we start trying.

My first two are exactly 2 years apart. They are now 5 and 7 My 3rd will be nearly 6 and 8 years younger. It definitely wasn't planned that way, but things happened along the way and timing wasn't right until now

We are basically in the same boat. My children are 15months apart...DS#1 is 2yrs 11month & DS#2 is 20months.
I (We) have baby fever BAD!!! Financially I will not be having a baby just yet. I'm hoping another year and half before we try. So with the boys being 15months apart the new baby (god willing) will be about 3.5-4years younger then my youngest.
For me it's so hard to NOT think about having another. It's all I think/talk about

Mine are 12 months apart. We're planning on having another when my youngest turns 2. So they'll be 2 years apart.
