2 Post c/section questions...
1- I am VERY sore ( to the touch) about 3 inches above my incision (abdomen area).... I mentioned to my OB and primary Dr. at recent visits, they didn't seem worried but didn"t check either. Anyone else have this?
I'm 7 weeks PP.
2- I;m having horrible back Pain, never had this before. Lower back...I feel like I'm walking like a crooked old lady. When I go from sitting in a chair to standing its so bad I can barely stand straight.
Is this normal after PG..c/s?? Anyone have this? I'm hesitant to see a dr. and have a slew of tests that just end up showing a bad back kwim?
TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 10.5 weeks PP and have the same soreness you described, above the incision. I thought it was just par for the course from being so stretched out during the pregnancy. I haven't had the same back pain though....

Re: 2 Post c/section questions...
the soreness is 100% normal and you may even feel numb (thatsnormal too) i asked this to my OB who checked and then explained.. when they make the incision they cut nerve endings as well as your abdominal muscles so the mucles have to heal which can take a long time and the numbness is common for 6months to ayear and sometimes NEVER goes away. Im almost 5 months pp and the numbess is still there and the soreness is just now starting to go away. Just remember they pull and tug your stomach in directions that are inhumane so its very normal
as far as the back pain i always had back painfrom herniated disc so i dont reall yknow if its normal or not

Re: 2 Post c/section questions...
the soreness is totally normal...the back pain, is from feeding the babies. I had this with the twins because of the way that we hold the babies and because we are constantly feeding! Try and stretch it out as much as you can during the day, in the shower, and at night on the bed. Eventually it goes away! Feel better...

Re: 2 Post c/section questions...
I had lower back pain before my c/s that got much worse after. I have to say, the only thing that has really helped me is pilates.... before bed and I wake up feeling great. It no longer takes me an hour to stand up straight and not wince in pain. I understand that with a toddler and nb twins this may be difficult to fit in.... but if you can, it feels soooo good.

Re: 2 Post c/section questions...
I had no issues with my incision so I can't say but the back pain I know...
I gained 50lbs with DS who was nearly 10lbs. After he was born, probably about 6 weeks I threw my back out. I could only be alone with him in the early AM for a few hours, after that I didnt have the ability to even pick him up.
I dont think it had anything to do with having a c/s I think it was just the strain I put on my body. Anyway I threw my back out again after I returned to work so maybe around 15 weeks PP. At that point I went to a Chiropractor. I went for a month maybe and then stopped, but in that time besides teh adjustments he gave me some tips on how to sleep more appropriately, how to do certain tasks (getting in and out of my car, vacuuming etc) which helped me take strain off my back. He also told me to remember with a big baby to bed at my knees whenever possible to pick him up.
Since then I still get minor soreness but I havent had any major issues.

Re: 2 Post c/section questions...
I had some of the soreness/tenderness but nothing like what you are saying. My biggest thing was the infection from the august heat (heatrash)
I also have some pretty horrible lower back pain. I often wonder what the heck was done to my back when the needle was inserted....
On a side note - are your iron levels improved now?
