2 month old and small head circumference
I went to my son's two month well visit today. All went well but his head circumference is small (25% down from 50% at last visit). His height (75%) and weight (90%... Yes he is a chubba) have continued to grow at the same rate. The dr doesn't seem too concerned now bc he has hit all his milestones so far. Of course, I went home and googled small head circumference and now I'm paranoid that his brain isn't growing right. His head doesn't look small to me. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks

I had the exact opposite. I think if he's meeting his milestones then he should doing just fine. See how he grows next month and then just ask the dr.

Dd1 always had a small head and she's almost 4. The whole first year they drove me crazy every visit measuring and te measuring the drs. , and nurses. There's nothing wrong. She's perfectly fine just a small head lol.

Re: 2 month old and small head circumference
My DD started off her first few months with a head circumference in the 25%, then the next month jumped to the 75% and has been there since. She is two now, and the doctor showed me all her measurements on the curve and she is following them (albeit on the high end now). I wouldn't let the percentages get to you.

I wouldn't be too concerned yet. Wait and see how his next appointment goes. Especially if he is reaching all milestones WNL.

Both my kids have small heads. I wouldn't be concerned.

My son was always the opposite had a big head like in the 95%. But it consistently is there so not a concern. See what next month brings. If it stays in the 25% than she might just have a smaller head and nothing to worry about.

My kid's head is in the 10th percentile and hasn't budged. Looking at her you wouldn't think her head is small but it is. Dr isn't concerned.

My sons head is in the 10th percentile, but I also have a really small head and so does my DH so I'm not too worried. He's perfectly normal thus far.
I would worry too much, perrcentiles can fluctuate from time to time. Unless it continues to fall down percentiles, it's probably not a concern. Just a normal fluctuation, maybe his head growth is just a few days behind the average. Some kids have growth spurts at slightly different times

I would think it can take a little time to fall into their growth curve. It could also be an off measurement, that happened with DD once and they remeasured. Turns off they were pretty off the first time.
I don't think 25th percentile is anything to be worried about. DD has always been right around 22nd and I can assure you she's very bright!
