2 hour long dr appt today and may have to be induced in 3 weeks

i was at the dr today from 9-11.
i had my bio physical and non stress test which were fine but then i had high blood pressure. they kept making me lay on my side and re-testing but it wasnt helping.

they ended up taking 6 vials of blood to just check everything over and be sure i dont have preeclampsia. My dr. told me that due to my GD, they may want to induce me at 39 weeks which means Cub could be here in 3 weeks!

i also got the Strep B test done as well as having my first internal which i didnt know i was getting
it didnt feel too good to say the least and im not dilated at all.

not sure how i feel about the possibilty of being induced

i say whatever is best for the baby!!

i hate that i dont know when i will go into labor!! so knowing a date would be fine with me, even if it was for an induction.

the dr is gonna do what is best, i would just trust him and get excited cuz you will get to see your LO a week early!!!!!

yea i feel the same way...like if i had to get a c section im whatever about it because what ever is best for the baby. the problem with knowing ahead of time for me is that i'll think about it and make mysefl nervous as oppose to just going into labor and dealing with it since you have no choice ya know

I'm sorry that part threw me off a bit.

At first I was very much not into being induced... but for my own odd reasoning. I want her to pick her own bday. I know it sounds wacky.. but for some odd reason that's important to me.

The dr pretty much told me he doesn't want me to go late due to being on insulin. And now with all the GD stuff and the rx's I have to constantly fill bc of it I don't want to go late at all!!!

So I've come to terms with the possibility of being induced. I really don't want to go late anyway.

I think once you give it time to settle in you will start to come around and come to terms with the possibility of being induced. My dr already told me they don't like gestationals (that's what they call us GD's in his office) to go late due to possible complications that arise so this I understood was always a possibility even without being on insulin.

Just think... it's a week sooner that you will know if this baby is a BOY or a GIRL and how much hair she or he will have and whom he or she will look like!!!!

Now when hear him say I'm going early and I'll do a happy dance!!
