1st year blood work/allergy screen
I know this may be a weird question, but does anyone go to a lab they love the person who draws? I have to take my DS for bloodwork which I believe the first year is in the foot prick. But they added an allergy screen which I believe is a full draw. So I am concerned and would love someone who does well with babies. Any recs?

Re: 1st year blood work/allergy screen
The one year blood work for us was a draw from the vein in the arm... we didn't have an allergey screen though. Good Sam lab is EXCELLENT with babies and children.

We used the NSLIJ lab in Bay Shore, across from Southside Hospital. I should've gotten the phlebotomist's name. She was excellent. DD did not even flinch!

I tried labcorp twice for DD's allergy screening and the woman there couldn't get it done. We went to good sam and they were great.

NS LIJ Lab in Bethpage. There is 1 particular tech that is absolutely amazing and we will only see her. The entire staff is wonderful and they assist if needed! If you want her name and the hours she works, send me FM.

I used this lab also. I think it was a guy though.
First year was full draw and we didn't have allergy tests.

1st year blood work/allergy screen
B do you know which labs your insurance covers? We went to Sunrise right near my house. The lady who drew M's blood also recently drew my mom's and my mom has "invisible" veins like mine so she suggested this woman. The woman was AMAZING with M so I would recommend her. I'd have to find out her name although everyone there is fantastic. On the other hand, his one year draw WAS in the arm and I wanted to die. It was extremely traumatic for us, through no fault of the lady. She was sweet and kind and got the vein the second she was in - immediately. But M was petrified and had to be restrained hard. It was horrible and I cried. I think DH was on the verge, too.
