1st tooth a molar?! at almost 5 months old
My baby is almost 5 months old (4 months adjusted-1 month premature - not sure it "matters" anymore)
and I see and feel a tiny dot of a tooth in the lower gum far right ...a molar first?
anyone ever experience this with their babies or hear of it happening?
he is pretty miserable, eating his hands, nothing else seems to sooth him, gave him some tylenol just now, and he is sleeping. eating okay. starting spitting up 2 days ago- related? he usually doesn't spit up much.
molar first not normal? concerning?

It might be a little HARMLESS cyst that will go away in a few days/weeks. Do you wipe his gums down at all? DS had a couple on his gums and the Dr said as long as they dont look infected to leave them. But tuats when I started wiping his gums down after bottles with a wet baby washcloth and they went away rather quickly and didnt come back.
as far as the other symptoms, he could be at the beginning stages of teething. the spitting up could he from the extra drool he is swallowing. I've never heard of a molar coming in first, but then again, my DD had a bottom tooth then a top tooth then her other bottom tooth come in. her dr at the time said it wasnt a big deal if the came in a little out of order as long as they all come in.
As far as the preemie thing goes, DS was 7weeks early. I always tried not to adjust him for everything but always kept it in the back of my mind when it came to the big things like crawling and walking.
