1st time Mom, registered with ?'s

I was wondering if any of you mommies can tell me if you use Playtex drop in bottles and if so, do you like them?

Also, can you recommend your swing and excersaucer please? TIA!

Yes, we used drops ins and loved them. We started off with Born Free bottles but DS had reflux so they didn't agree with him. There were also a lot of parts to them. So we tried the drops ins and BAM, they worked like a charm!

Our swing was the Graco Deco and we loved it. So did DS.

And we used the rainforest Jumperoo. It was his favorite until he grew out of it.

Fisher Price Papisan Swing
Evenflow exersaucer

DS did not like the drop ins. He had a lot of difficulty with bottles. I would get one of a few brands and see which one your DC prefers. Not every bottle will agree with every child.

Great to hear!!!! Is the Rainforest Jumperoo the one that is the 3-staged center?

Thank you for your input :) I know there will be a possibility that I'll have to play around with different bottles, just wanted to make sure nobody had big problems with this one.

Yes, the exersaucer is 3 staged. I am borrowing it from a friend. I borrowed an earlier version of the same exersaucer from another friend. They are great, but only used from about 3 months to 9 months when stationary and 12 months when they are 3 staged. If you know someone who has one that you can borrow I would try to go that route.

Yup! It was great because we were able to make it taller as DS grew.

We tried the drop ins when DS was first born. The flow was too fast for him and he kept choking. So we put them away. We jsut started to use them again and 9 weeks old. He hasn't had a problem. I have the Fisher Price Rainforest take along swing. Got it from a friend. DS loved it up until he started to like his bouncy seat more. We have the evenflo exersaucer, but we haven't used it yet.

Re: 1st time Mom, registered with ?'s

I have both DR BROWNS and the playtex drop ins. I bought both but havent used the playtex ones. It seemed messy and a hassle using those drop in bags..and with how many bottles I go through a day, it seems like it can get expensive to buy the refill bags.

My PED said DR. Browns is one of the best ones to use for gas and DS had it bad with some reflux issues and they work great. I know there are a few parts to each bottle, but im so used to washing them that it doesnt phase me anymore.

Stationary entertainer

Swing

The swing worked well for DS for a while. Now it seems its hit or miss. but the first few weeks he would fall asleep in it and like to be in there.

After 4 other bottles DD finally took to and used the Playtex drop-ins with the latex (not silicone) nipple.

She hated the exersaucer and swing so I returned both.

We used the Platex drop in's and loved them. Never had a problem with them at all. When I have another baby I would go with drop in's again.

We have the Graco Sweatpeace swing, as well as 2 portable swings.

We have the FP Jumparoo and the Evenflo Exersaucer.

We loved them all.

We use the Playtex Drop Ins when I pump for the night feeding or when I am not home. DS is a very gassy baby and we've had no problems so far.

I registered and received three kinds of bottles. The drop ins I opened first because it mimics the breast. Since DS was okay with them I returned the others.

We have the boppy traveling swing and love it. It easily collapses and doesn't take up much space.

We used the Drops Ins in the beginning when I was BFing and DS loved them. Then when we switched to formula he was gassy with them so now we use Dr. Browns.

We have the Fisher Price Papasan Cradle Swing- My Little Lamb. DS loved it. He used it for over 5 months.

We have Evenflo Smart Steps Exersaucer. DS started using it at 4 months and still uses it all the time now at 7 months. He loves it!

Re: 1st time Mom, registered with ?'s

Emmy LOVES her drop ins! She has been very gassy and they seem to help her not get so much air. She is getting stronger so she collapses the bag more. She is also 16 dyas old so they work well for newborns as well. We have the fisher price My Little Lamb Swing and she has a blast in it! It is a bit loud, but she doesn't care and will sit in it for about an hour and just look around. We always put her into her crib to sleep so when she nods off she goes right out of it.

We started with the Born Free bottles, but DD had gas issues, so we used the Playtex drop ins and they worked out really well (plus less cleaning!).

Loved the Fisher Price Papasan Swing (I don't think they make it anymore though) and we have the 3-in-1 exersaucer - I think its evenflo.

Re: 1st time Mom, registered with ?'s

Is the base of the Rainforest swing big/wide? I find that these swings have such wide bottoms and require a ton of space. TIA

Thank you all for your responses! Dr. Brown's was the other option and I will still keep it on my list! Thanks!

I agree. The cleaning on the playtex is super easy. We have the drop in and the born free bottles. Like them both. The drop ins my PED said are great for gas since you can suck out the air.
