1st Sono...What do they see???

Ok ladies, so I posted earlier that I got a BFP, and I go Thursday for my first sono. What are they going to see? We did IVF, and transferred 2 embryos, so will they be able to tell me if I have a singleton or twins on my first sono?

How far along are you? Before 5 or 6 weeks it's hard to see much on a sonogram... by 6 weeks you should be able to get more information.

I had my first sono at 5w2d, all we saw was the start of a small gestational sac. At that time we only saw ONE. We were told to come back 2 days later to make sure there was a yolk and fetal pole. Lo and behold, there were 2 sacs at that time. (sadly we lost one though).

So, there's a chance if you see one, then another could show up at your next sono.

at 5w4d i saw a sac and a few days later at a little over 6weeks we saw a heart beat.

at 5w4d you just see a tiny little dot that looks like a pea lol
