1st Birthday
Hi all!
My youngest is turning 1 this August, and my oldest is turning 5 in August as well. They are four years apart, but one is August 16th and the other August 27th.
We live OOS from family and are on a limited budget since I am a stay at home mom right now. We decided to do a small birthday party at our home for my soon-to be 5 year old. Something simple at our house with just a few friends. But, for my youngest, we were originally planning to do a party with family. Our summer is just getting so busy and it would cost too much to combine the birthdays. We don't have enough seating or the extra $$ for entertainment for almost 20 kids if we had my older son's friends plus the families all at once.
We are thinking of skipping the family party for the first birthday and doing something as a family instead- just the four of us.
Im feeling so guilty though. We threw a big 1st b day for my first. Has anyone done something different for a first birthday, or not even had a party? Just feeling like a guilty mommy. Sorry so long.
Thanks for any feedback!
