1st B-day catered BBQ
DS turns one at the end of July. DH and I were thinking about having a backyard party, renting tents and have a BBQ catering company come in to do the food. Anyone have any recommendations for companys that do this? Either you've done it or know someone who has?

Scott's Five Star Meats in Commack. They do catered BBQs and their food is excellent.

We used iavarone brothers last year for a bbq and they were awesome. They have a few locations. Here is the website http://www.ibfoods.com/
We are using them again this year for DC baptism.

Re: 1st B-day catered BBQ
This is exactly what we did for DD's 1st Birthday.
We rented tent, tables, chairs and linens from Party Time. Colliseum Deli did the BBQ. We also has Elmo and a clown.
It was a great party!

Re: 1st B-day catered BBQ
Guy Anthony's in Merrick does this. My step sister used there backyard BBQ for her engagement party- they bring a big BBQ grill- super huge- and have a cook there. They also have the tents to set up if need be.
We've been using them for 10+ years for all our family parties and have never been disappointed with them. Over the past 10+ years we have easily used them 20+ times.
Their website:
Guy Anthony's
This is the grill menu my sister did & it was delish- they also have less expensive options:
The Full BBQ Menu Hotdogs, Hamburgers & Cheeseburgers Marinated Chicken Breast with Bruscetta over Mescaline Greens BBQ Chicken & Ribs Marinated Teriyaki Lamb Marinated Steak Corn on the Cob Marinated Grilled Vegetables with Portobello Mushrooms Fusilli Pasta Salad with Sundried Tomato & Olive New Potato Salad with Fresh Dill Garden Tomato Cucumber Salad
$22.95 per guest (25 - 49 guests) $20.95 per guest (50 or more guests) * Soda, Ice Tea and Lemonade available at $3.50 per guest

Re: 1st B-day catered BBQ
we are looking into using Guy Anthony's. I called famous dave's and they quoted me a really good price. But I don't think it was hot dogs and hamburgers for the kids.

Im having a small thing, so decided just to cook my own stuff, and do the traditional BBQ stuff.
