1st anniversary cake - help?!
Today is our first wedding anniversary and the top of our cake is defrosted in the fridge, waiting for us to have some tonight! Now I am thinking, could I possibly get sick? Is this a bad idea? It was frozen on our wedding night and not defrosted until yesterday ... thoughts?
I did open the box yesterday and it looks just like it did one year ago (no fuzz or freezer burn) and it smells yummy

If it was properly frozen it should be ok. When we ate ours, it tasted so gross! I hope yours is good!

We couldnt wait. We ate ours that night, the next day and the whole rest of the week!
We decided to just get the same cake on our anniversary. We're usually both extremely sentimental so we were surprised we changed our minds to eat it right away but it was worth it to us.
Good luck! You should be fine if it still looks good.

Happy Anniversary
We ate ours and I had it in tupperwear and wrapped 20x in plastic wrap before we froze it. It tasted great and neither of us got sick

Re: 1st anniversary cake - help?!
I didn't eat mine...just didn't seem worth it! But, I'm such a picky eater, I probably would have thought it tasted funny just at the thought that it was in the freezer for a year!!

Mine was nasty, but being that it was frozen, it is fine.
