1hr glucose test

So I called the lab two weeks ago and no one answers the phone. Several times throughout the day I call back. Still no answer, just the answering machine ( which says nothing by the way about appointments or specific tests). So I call the main customer service line for NS system core labs. I ask if I need an appointment for the glucose test. They said nope. Just go in.

Fast forward to today when I wake up 6am on my day off and trek to the lab in the snow. I am told they cannot see me because I needed an appointment. they look at me like I'm an azz. I got so angry and mad a bit of scene. I just don't understand the way healthcare operates one times.

My preggo hormones have gotten the best of me and I am so upset. Now I have to go back on Monday at 7am. But I am paranoid that the girl didn't write my name down. I called to make sure that i would be good for monday but of course had to leave a message. You think they will call me back? My guess is no.

When I was trying to take the blood test to confirm my pregnancy I made an appt online. I called my dr and asked them to fax the paperwork to the lab. Got there and was told the paperwork did not arrive. Was so pi$$ed! Made another appt and called my dr again. Went back and the paperwork still didn't arrive! The receptionist had the nerve to say "I remember you from last week. I told you that our fax machine is broken and you need to being a paper copy." Um, hell no! If she did, would I have gone back without one! I was so livid! I cursed more in the next 5 minutes than I probably have in my whole life!

Preggo hormones are the worst when you are dealing with incompetent people.

Maybe they thought you meant the 3 hr? I didn't need an appt for the 1 hr but did for the 3 hr since you have to add certain foods 3 days prior.
