18 months...vitamins?
I keep forgetting to ask the pediatrician..
Should I be giving my 18 month old any vitamins?....Poly Vi Sol was a mess..she would spit it out...so I just stopped giving it to her...

We were giving DS prescription vitamins with flouride at that age. It is a multi-vitamin that has flouride added to it. It was liquid, so not sure if your DD would take them because truthfully they smelled worse than the OTC stuff you mentioned.
Now that he is 2.5, we have the same prescription but they are a chewable tablet.

At DS' 2yr check up we discussed vitamins. Ped said over the counter ones were okay but she gave us a prescription for "regular" chewable ones. Until she rec'd back his blood work and he had a low iron level. She gave us a prescription for the liquid ones with iron. He loves taking it (surprisingly) and the prescription costs less than the over the counter Poly-Vi-Sol (or however it's spelled).

I never really gave the liquid to Rylan...it was impossible to get him to take it. At 18 months we got a script for chewables.

I give DD who is 17 months the liquid. Sometimes she shivers at the taste  but she still takes it regardless. It smells nasty though.

We just got a prescription for chewables the other day. DS is 18 months. He hated the liquid and I never gave it to him!

i hated the liquid stuff too.
i started giving DS chewables around that time. if you ask your ped they should give you an Rx for them.
