NEED FEEBACK FROM ALL ! PLEASE TAKE MY POLL

So here's the scenario.

A "place" that provides classes in other languges needs a name.
Will primarily be Italian classes to start out, but will branch out and also go into SPanish.

I tend to lean towards the VERY ITalian names but I have to keep in mind the general public, and things like

*It has to be SHORT and simple.
people tend to remember names that are short and simple.

*Will eventually have a website, has to be a website/url name that is EASY TO REMEMBER, EASY TO SPELL ! (easy to pass on word of mouth )

It will be starting out as teaching preschoolers, but will branch out into adult classes as well.

*SO the name cant be too cutesy as no mom or dad will want to take classes at CIAO BAMBINI (which is already taken by the way )

and Im steering away from CIAO anything, since Italians always spell CIAO wrong, never mind non italians, lol. (important to be able to spell a website you have to remember!)

So whether youre a parent, whether you speak another language or not, I need everyone's opinion on names, and things I should take into consideration if i havent mentioned it here.

But primarily, this post is to help think out a name and the reasoning behind it.

Now, TESORO means TREASURE in Italian.
I was thinking
TESORO... because a language is a treasure...

I had also thought of TESORO KIDS, but nixed the KIDS since it will cater to adults as well..

Also, of course all these titles would be followed by "Language Center" or something similar. I have pages of doodling and ideas going on.

LA FAVOLA means the FABLE (which also is in the "learning/school" mode, and is an easy word to remember (I hope) and have a motto along the lines of culture and language..

Are these easy words to non-bilingual people ? would you remember this if you saw it on a flyer ?

I also love
ARCOBALENO (which means RAINBOW) but that's WAY too big of a word for non bilinguals right ?

SOGNI D'ORO (Golden dreams, but its too cutesy and too hard to remember)

LINGUA (language) BELLA
but I dont like the word lingua

BELMONDO (beautiful world)

PARLABENE (yuck boring!)


**ETA: Im leaning towards TESORO or CIAO TESORO, but is that too complicated for non Italians?
is CIAO annoying and cutesy?

I like Belmondo. It's easy and phonetic and I like the meaning.

I voted for an English name since you plan to offer more than just Italian in the future. I'm probably in your demographic since I'm not good with languages and I know it wouldn't be super easy for me to remember how to spell these correctly for a web address.

I voted for the first choice, because i liked the idea that language is a treasure....but maybe you could add something to it (in english), so people know what the business is/make it easier for them to remember the name

I like Tesoro. And, when this "place" is ready for business, I'd love to take classes. I'm ashamed to say I'm 100% Italian and speak only about 2 words.

Cathy / Nicki, Im def going to add "language center" or something shorter and more simple (all I can think IS SHORT AND SIMPLE SHORT AND SIMPLE) but something that will give you the jist of what it is.

Im trying to be VERY Marketing-minded as I put it out there.

I like the name Tesoro and I remembered how to spell it to write this post.

I voted for Belmondo because I feel it fits the theme best. It's a beautiful world of languages to be explored!

Im torn on Belmondo and Tesoro.
I also thought of MondoBello (but doesnt that sound too cutesy?) but we know moms love cutesy sounding stuff right ?

ALso, wanted to add, Tesoro is also used as a term of endearment in Italian, like "dear, darling" - dont know if that makes a difference in any decisions.

I like both Belmondo and Tesoro but I think if you're going to add Language Center than I think Tesoro Language Center sounds better than Belmondo Language Center.

i like belmondo... i'm not bilingual, but its easy to say, and easy to remember how to spell ( its pretty much phonetic), not to mention is has a great meaning! ( especially the "world" part because you plan to offer other languages in the future)

I agree about Belmondo. It flows and its easy to remember. and it's a very worldly word,
and I did try to keep that idea in mind, a world of languages, its a beautiful world, etc.
BUT all three urls (web names) Are taken

belmondo
mondobello
and Tesoro.

So I have to do something like BelmondoLC.com and now to make people remember that

and I should also take into account the many votes for a name in English

I like Belmondo Language Center but would go with something in English.

see, once I get on this thinking streak, I never make up my mind.

also about the name "The Language Center" Im REALLYYY not a fan of something not being differentiated from the rest. and I think there already is a "Language Learning CenteR" in town, and the first thing I thought when i saw the name was "they couldnt think of something better than THAT ? especially teaching languages, make use of em

I can just picture the conversation "which language center THE Language center? huh?" I just think a name gives you something to define yourself by (hopefully in a good way )

Also, since I may be teaching in more than one location, would it even make sense to use the words "Language Center"
