16 week appointment
What do they usually do at this appt? I forgot to ask the other day. Do you get a sono? Are they checking for anything in particular?

Sometimes a sono depends on the doc, but will probably at least listen to the HB with a doppler, and usually they do blood work for the quad screening, to check for neural tube defects.

I had a NT scan at 12 weeks and getting another scan at 20 weeks so at 16 weeks they just did the doppler. If you chose to do testing, they do some bloodwork then too.

16 week appointment
I didn't get a sono, just doppler, urine, bp, etc. It was very quick.

This. No sono at 16w. They did the usual weigh, bp, listened to the hb with the dopler, and I had blood drawn at that appt for the AFP genetic test.
