Valance help....

I am ordering a wendy bellissimo valance similar to this one. Wendy Bellissimo
The valance is 55 inches across.

One of my windows is about 38 inches across.
The other window is actually two windows, side by side that measure 64 inches across. Each window is about 35 inches across, like this: windows

My question is how do these valances work? Do I have to alter them to fit the window? Do I need 3 valances?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but they just seem to fit so nicely in the photo!

Re: Valance help....

I believe 55 is the total length of the valance "stretch out/flat". You probably want it to gather a bit so it will fit a single window. You will need 2 valances for the double window.

Thanks so much! I wasn't sure if that type of valance was supposed to gather - it looks so smooth in the picture.

So, I guess I should order 3 valances - one for the single window and two for the double window?

Re: Valance help....

If you go on the Wendy Bellisimo website, I think they show the valance gathered and flat, so you can decide how you like it better... http://www.wendybellissimo.com/products/product_detail.php?id=63
