Re: 14 weeks..
I did not have a sono......I heard the heartbeat, the dr. pressed on my stomach and felt around, weight check, and blood pressure. We were in and out.

Re: 14 weeks..
you may want to call your doctor and ask for a list of tests to expect and when. My doctor actually had a hand out for this - of what to expect and when...
they should've taken massive amounts of blood at your first appointment (mine took 12 vials i believe) and they check for ALL kinds of things.
So far - every visit i go to - they take my First Morning Urine and for my last two visits, they have taken blood as part of the sequential screen.
EVERY doc is different though...but as i said - it may be a good idea to find out what they do and when....so you aren't feeling like you do right now!

I had my first sono at 12 weeks, along with the 1st part of the modified sequential blood test. The modified sequential (that tests for down syndrome) is optional, and not offered everywhere. Did they mention it to you at your first appt?
My first appt. they took a ton of blood (10-12 vials) to test blood type, whether cystic fibrosis carrier, etc.
