12m+ diapers for big toddlers
What size are you on? And how often do you change diapers during the day?
DS is about 26lbs and 35" tall.
He was wearing 5's Target and Huggies and starting to leak through those. I put him in 6s and he seems okay, but we still get leaks from time to time if I don't change him every hour or so. Which is annoying if we are out, for the both of us.
So I've been putting him in Huggies overnights size 6, for day and night. I'm not sure whats next.

Have you tried those diaper doublers that they sell at BRU? They are essentially a maxi-pad without the sticky stuff that makes the diapers more absorbent. I used them for overnights with one of my dds because she would leak out of the front of her diapers (shes a belly sleeper).

DS is bigger than that, and in 6s. I liked Luvs the best, but DS is allergic to the dye in the new design. I liked them much better than Huggies though (we use Huggies now ).
I also use Pampers 4T-5T pullups (but DS is larger, so this size might not be right). They are more pricey, but good.

Re: 12m+ diapers for big toddlers
at her 15 month visit, dd was 31 inches tall i think, maybe 31.5, and 24.5 lbs. she's in size 4 earth's best for daytime and fisher price 5 at nighttime (just about to move up to 6 - they seem small on her). i think EB runs larger than other brands. she always leaked out of huggies - they were not cut right for her.

Re: 12m+ diapers for big toddlers
Honestly that what I've been asking since birth. DH and I are short people, and every ped apointment we go over our family history of tallness and worry if the tallness is ok.
But when I think about it my family is strange mix of short and tall. Its kind of funny, my grandmother was 4'9 married to my grandfather 6'5" DHs family is the same bizare way, no one is average, your either a munchkin or a giraffe. I guess DS got an extra dose of tall gene. He's never slowed down, but ped says he's due to slow down soon. Everything else is perfectly normal and since he's been over 100% height since birth its not a concern.
I think the thing is, is that he eats and drinks a ton to maintain his size, and fuel all that toddler energy.

Re: 12m+ diapers for big toddlers
I feel like Huggies has changed, I know the overnights definitely did. I've used Huggies for a very long time but I'm getting something new when these diapers are finished. I just moved him up to size 6 when he was around 14m. At 15m he was 27.5lbs and 33.5". I'll keep him in size 6 but use another brand other than Huggies
