12 week ultrascreen...would this bother you?
I called earliar to schedule my 12 week ultrascreen which would be in about 4 weeks from now and they didn't have any appts until my 14 week unless I could come in the morning which I couldn't. I felt like the girl actually gave me an attitude because I wouldn't agree to an early morning appt. Unfortuately, I don't have the time to take off considering I still owe days from my maternity leave 3 years ago. If this test is supposed to be done on the 12th week why should I have to wait until the 14th week.....thats 6 weeks until my next appt. I'm thinking of calling the office manager tomorrow or leaving a message for my dr. Should I just let it go or would you be upset to?

It's done between 11-13 weeks. Can you have your Dr. call and get you in? Is there another place you can have the sono done?

It's done in the drs. office...they have their own technician there since it is a high risk practice.

Yes, I would def make my Dr aware. My friend was saying she felt like she had abnormal swelling in her feet, the receptionist said "it was normal" and brushed her off claiming the Dr didn't have time to speak to her and to just wait until her apt. A few days later my friend was hospitalized for high bp.... she told her Dr about her treatment and he was out raged. You pay a lot of $$$ to the insurance company who plays a lot of $$$ to the Dr..... Its a service and you should feel like you are being served in a way that suits you. I think sometimes these receptionist are on a massive power trip....

The test is supposed to be done within 11w3d and 13w6d, according to this lab who performs the test's site: NTD Labs If the office doesn't have any availability I would get it done somewhere else that has more convenient hours for you or ask to be contacted in case of a cancellation. I'm sure there are a lot of other working moms who can't do early morning appts like you which is probably why they're booked. Good luck.

if thats the case, then, yes, i would call and ask for the dr and tell them your situation..
i hate when the receptionist is rude.. come on now - be nice.. especially considering our stress and hormones

I agree---it has to be done during a certain time...they wont be able to get the right measurements if you are further along

It needs to be done before 13w 6d and I would make sure its done a little in advance of that in case baby is uncooperative and you need to go back. I would call and ask to speak with someone other that ms. Rudepants

I would let it go, but my dr. also didn't do this test on me for both pg's.

As pps said, you have to get it done before 13w6d. If you want this test, make sure you're seen before then.
