12 months- less naps?

dd used to nap twice a day, once around 9ish and again around 130ish. She still takes the morning nap, but by the afternoon she really fights me on it. Doesn't really cry, just plays in there for 20 mins before screaming because she isn't tired... It's now 3pm and I tried the nap again, but she's doing the same thing... is this normal for a 1 year old? Should I move her to one nap a day now?

Yes, very normal around 1 years old. Usually they morph into one nap, maybe around 12pm-2pm.. At daycare my little one does great with 12-2, at home I notices shes sleepy earlier so we shoot for 11am-1pm if shes getting crazy.

12 months- less naps?

Both my girls did the same thing between 9-12months. I pushed the morning nap later and just did one nap.

thanks everyone.. she finally fell asleep in the crib around 345 when she realized i wasn't coming in for her. Much later that i would have liked, so I'm going to try to keep her awake until around 12/1230 tomorrow and do one long nap

My ds used to nap around 12/1 for about an hour, and then again around 4/5 for another half hour to hour. Around 12 months he started to nap for longer stretches midday and then stopped needing a late afternoon nap. Now he only takes a 2nd nap if his midday nap gets cut short for some reason, but most days he will just take the one nap, and lately it's been for anywhere between an hour to 3 hours, but most days I'd say it lasts around 2 hours.
