11 weeks and not pushing up when on tummy

Im really worried- when Bryan is on his tummy all he does is cry and cry and try to roll over and crawl- he doesnt try to push up his head- he does hold his head up though when held up and down and when I sit him on my lap-- should I be concerned?

If you are really worried you should call your doctor.

Sarah used to be the same way, she would scream like a maniac when on her belly. The doctor told me that it's really hard on their necks - it's a lot of weight and their neck hurts after a little while. He told me she'd get used to it and he was right, it was a slow progression, but she's now 6.5 months and she's on her belly all the time. As soon as you put her down she flips over.

I wouldnt be concerned only because you said he is holding up his head on his own when you hold him. It takes time for them to figure out what to do. Plus you said that he is trying to crawl and roll over. Logan JUST started to roll over and he is 4 months! And he hasnt tried to crawl at all.

Sidney hates tummy time so i bought the tummy play boppy (at bbb). She lasts 2x as long before getting frustrated. She sometimeseven smiles.

I don't know how to make this a link...anyone?

It looks like it has toys attached.

I have this- its smaller than a regular boppy as well- unfortunately he hates this also- he just likes to turn his head to the side and cry. Im doing it more often now becuase I know that is important Im trying to let him cry more and he winds up sucking on his hand for comfort- Im gonna ask the doctor tommorrow.

Also try flying around the room...anything that has them holding their head is better than nothing.

I'm worried too....Sidney is trying to roll over. I'm scared of what will happen when she actually accomplishes it and finds herself on her tummy. What then?

I try to catch sidney before she cries. I want her to assoc tummy time with fun...don't know which way is better though (?)
Do you have him up high on the boppy? So his head and arms are almost hanging over

yeah I put his head and arms over and he tries to push up with his legs- he mananges to drag the boppy accross the floor with him- his bottom half is much stronger than his top half I think.
