Me too. It was the only time I have ever been at Fire Island and every club had the music turned off and every TV on with the news coverage. It still gives me chills to think about it.

I can't believe it's ten years. I remember it well...I was leaving for college the next day for the first time and I was with all my friends saying goodbye.
May she rest in peace.

i remember my grammy was babysitting me (i was 12 lol) b/c my parents were away on vacation (a cruise)... we watched the breaking news the entire night and then, it was so late, we finally went to bed...
they were making it like she was going to be OK but then the next morning when i got up, i was thinking she would be alright and just badly injured at the most-- and the paper said she was dead! i was so upset!
to this day it makes me so sad- and to think about her boys
