1 year old and swimming gear
What do have for your 1 yr. old to go in the pool with?
Did you have a lifejacket? Where did you get it? Brand?
Did you have a tube or something for them to sit in?

Re: 1 year old and swimming gear
Last summer DD was about 10 months and we had a couple of floats for her that I picked up at TRU. Other than that we didn't use anything else in the pool. Just the floats or we carried her.
This year, DD is 19 mos and we just got her a life jacket. I don't know the brand but we got it at BJs. I mostly got it because we're going away but I think it may come in handy in the pool this summer as well.

Re: 1 year old and swimming gear
I used this around a year and I loved it! I do remember at first that he was sitting pretty low in it, so waves would get too close with his mouth. But then suddenly he was much higher in the water as he grew. (So if it doesn't work too well at first, keep trying it over a few months)

Just bought this for DS! He'll be 9-10-11 months this summer so I hope he fits ok! Although we'll mostly be in my IL's pool so no waves to worry about.
