We're having DD's first birthday at Hempstead Lake State Park Carousel- they have a really cute room with the carousel and extra space outdoors for things like entertainment or bounce houses.

We did both of our kids first bdays at restaurants b/c we invite adults to them. Once we start having kids only parties we do them elsewhere. LICM or a Gymboree party are both good for 1 yos.

most 1st birthdays i have been to are at restaurants. my oldest DS, we had it at the Riverhead aquarium. it worked out well because the adults and kids both enjoyed it and we could hang out there the rest of the day. my second, we decided to have it at home.

Are there any Broadway shows that have a kids show time? Where kids of all ages could go? Anyone know of any dinner and shows like hibachi, medieval times et.

I don't think 1 year olds would appreciate - or be able to sit through- something like that to be honest
