1 hour glucose question
I am planning on going for the 1 hour glucose test next week. Is there anything I can do to prepare? I have been craving sweets this whole pregnancy. Should I avoid them before the test? Does it really make a difference? Thanks.

You shouldn't eat cupcakes all night the night before your test like I did!! I passed, but my Dr. said "not with flying colors." I'm convinced it was the cupcake binge the night before.......

My Dr told me when I was about 22 weeks that I should eat lots of small meals and cut down on starches.
I didn't really heed his instructions, ate what I wanted, b/c I have no food aversions (lucky me), and I failed my 1 Hr test. I didn't fail by much, my Dr said anything over 135 is a failure and I was 142. 3 Hr test here I come (going Monday)

just eat normally... if your body isn't reacting well to what you are eating- like sugars- you want to know.

That's so funny...I had my test last Wednesday and Tuesday night I had a cupcake and Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate party!!
I was soo paranoid, but I passed...even after sneaking a cookie or two that morning!
My doctor did not give me any special instructions.

I ate cookies the night before and I failed. Not sure if that's why, but I'm going for my three hour in a few minutes, so I haven't eaten any junk all week. It's been so hard though! I really want cookies!!
