And since nobody has a half cake pan, you have to eat the other half of the cake on your own, since it's "baking leftovers"....

I had a 1/2 bday party for my son at 6mth. I made the cake the same way, we got him presents and 1/2 wrapped them, I had cut a birthday sign in 1/2. It was really cute!

I did this when my 4 year old turned 4 1/2. We had a great time with it. I gave her 1/2 presents-1 sock, 1 glove, 1 slipper, etc. along with a 1/2 card Then we ate pizza and sandwiches, which were cut in half, along with the 1/2 cake. It really was a lot of fun.
