*%$#@!!*^%--UPDATED
OK, It's all sorted out, thanks to me (God forbid anyone did THEIR OWN job!!). I made them connect me to the urology lab this morning, left a VM and got a call back within 2 minutes. I'll be in tomorrow at 9:30, a little late but at least I'll be in. And she did tell me that they never turn anyone away that walks in after the weekend! Thanks for all the reassurance guys...as usual, you're the best!!

------------------------------------------------------
That is what I am saying right now to my RE's office!! AF unexpectedely showed up today, so I would need to go in Monday (CD3) for b/w and u/s...just for the record I am was like CD 40 something..so had no idea when this would happen. Anyway, I call..no one there but here is an emergency #, can't leave a message. So I call the emergency # and she says this isn't an emergency and HAS NO WAY TO LEAVE SUCH A MESSAGE WITH THE PRACTICE!! ***!! So, guess I am showing up Monday unannounced and hoping they put me in. How can they not have the capacity to leav e a message for the practice?? Ok, maybe not an emergency for a FERTILE woman, but come on, for us, this is HUGE!! AAAHHH!!! Ok, vent over!

I'll try again tomorrow...it's a hospital based clinic so pretty sure the same person would still be there!
Don't be surprised if you read about "Crazy Infertile Woman Arrested at NSUH for Not Being Able to Get Bloodwork Done"!!

They are only "open" for scheduled patients ie: IUI's, monitoring, ER, ET's. I will try early in AM though...someone might be there collecting sperm and such...but I think the phones are automatically off from Friday afternoon-Monday AM. If it wasn't so far from where I live, I would drive there Sunday to speak with someone but it it an hour west and we are going to Montauk tomorrow. I do believe that they will see me later in the day for the U/S if need be...I could also get an fax for b/w sent to my job...but they won't get the results in time. Guess if I start stimming CD 4 it won't be the end of the world, right?

I'm sure you are fine to show up Monday morning. I would call first thing tomorrow morning though (I'm on my 3rd RE and most are open on Sunday mornings). Call then and I'm sure you are not the first to have AF on a Saturday/Sunday off hours you know? G/L.

I'm sure you can just show up Monday morning for bloodwork. I was a patient there and ran into the same situation. They saw me with no problem at all.

Re: *%$#@!!*^%
I went to NS before I ended up at Cornell and called them on the weekend. Dr. Cohen (I think) called me back. I had to come in for CD3 bloods only at that point.
That woman is wrong.
They took my blood on Sunday..day before Memorial Day.
Call back.
That's crap!
I'm sure it will be fine to come in on Monday for bw and us though so don't stress too much.

Call again in the morning and tell the operator you need to speak with the doctor on call. I go to NSUH and left a message for the Dr. Dr Cohen called me back in about 15 minutes. That operator was an idiot!!
On my 2nd IUI cycle I started stimming on CD4. So I don't think it will be a problem. I would definitely go in early before 8:30 for b/w on Monday and then schedule the us for later or see if the dr can see you right away. I'll be there around 8:15 or 8:30 on Monday.

Re: *%$#@!!*^%
I just showed up one Sunday after I got a bfp and had a bit of spotting. I talked to a nurse when I got there and they put the order in for the doctor to see me and draw blood.
I can't imagine they would turn you away.
That said - what nerve!
