When did you start letting your LO roam the house?

I never had my DS in a playpen. He has always roamed the floor. We only have one gate at the top of the stairs for when we are upstairs with him.

reaaally roam? like 2.5 but we have a ton of stairs. I wouldn't unless I felt confident that he was OK on the stairs.

Jack (38 months) gets up at the butt crack of dawn (like 530) so we get him milk and set him up in the playroom with cereal and tv/toys/coloring and he plays between the playroom and his bedroom and uses the bathroom by himself while we sleep in a bit (like 630/7) Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

roam in 1 room - 8-9 months but I never left him alone for more than 5 mins

I never put DD in a PNP to play. She has always had free roam of the house.

I just cleared my living room this past weekend and put up gates near the stairs. DS goes nuts now when I put him into anything "restrictive" (like a pnp or a walker we have that is attached to an activity table). He is almost 11 months.

I never confined DD in a play pen type of thing, she always had free range of the house. I would block off stairs and that was that. There were times if I was cooking lunch I'd gate her in the kitchen with me or something...but usually she went where she pleased.

I never put my DD in a playpen or gated her off. She was able to roam and follow me all over the house. I put up gates at the top and bottom of the stairs and baby proofed the rest of the house.

From the moment they showed interest so probably when they started crawling.
I also never really baby proofed other than a lock and the cabinet with cleaning supplies.
