Wow!--Your hair color is so pretty and unique--part of me thinks you should leave it alone-but I can understand the desire to change. I do think that a few (not a full head) blonde highlights would look pretty.

I wouldn't add highlights to your hair either. You have a nice reddish brown color. People pay to get their hair your color.
If anything i would tell them to do just a half head of highlight- very subtle and natural. Get the highlight in a carmel color or maybe even just some light red color like strawberry blonde.
