If she stopped and talked several times in the middle, that would definitiely annoy me - that has happened to me in the past, and I would have to say something like, - I'm sorry, I'm trying to get to an appointment after this - would you mind continuing with my hair - that annoys the crap out of me, but if she was chatting and working on my hair, I would be ok....

YES.....Happened to me last weekend..getting my hair cut and this woman (who had the first appointment and was LATE and caused me to wait 1/2 an hour anyway is all paid )and then is asking the hair dresser what products she needs..while the woman is cutting my hair!!! I was pi$$ed at both of them.

Yes, b/c it has happened to me. I was getting highlights and she was too busy talking to her other clients that she left them in too long. I said something to her and she shhh'ed me. Well, i knew they were on too long, so i took the damn foils out myself and my hair was fried. I complained to the owner and did not pay.

The last hair salon I went to the owner cut my hair.
The last two times I was there, while she was supposed to be concentrating on my hair, she:
-signed checks
-spoke to the cute construction guy who stops by and flirts
-was on and off the phone with someone about the store next door putting a sign up that dwarfted hers
-spoke to another customer most of the time she cut my hair and complained about another stylist at another salon stealing her cuts.
Oh, yeah, and she could never get the color on my really grey roots covered.
It's incredibly rude and unprofessional.
I only went back to last time because I couldn't find another in time.
She's probably wondering why I didn't come back.
I just found a new stylist this Tuesday and I am so much happier

I find it extremelly rude and unprofessional. I am paying to get a service with full focus. Not for someone to talk to another client/co-worker. They need to do it when they are not servicing me!
It happened a little bit with a hairdresser. I said nothing but continously looked at him with my "special look". I kept staring at him in the mirror. I think he got the point and stopped and focused on me.
