I know I don't have adult ADD, but my sister does. I also work with special ed. children, some of whom who have ADD. You can not get ADD as an adult. you have it for life, which means you would have had it as a child/teenager/young adult.
you may just be feeling overly stressed and overwhlemed lately. i know when i get like that, my mind just goes and feels like it's running in a million directions. however, if you've always felt like this... ie. at school as a kid or young adult, during less stressful times of your life, then you could look into ADD a bit further. Also, ADD is not just about feeling like you forgot something or doing things haphazardly... it is the inability to focus on any task for a long period of time, this could include doing the laundry, but also includes reading, studying, watching TV, staying on one topic during conversations, etc.
