Before I had a baby, I'd go shopping for some retail therapy. Even if I didn't buy anything, the mindlessness of browsing helped me. Now that I have a baby, I literally forget most things when I walk in the door. If for some reason, my day was THAT bad, I have a glass of wine and curl up on the couch and watch a mindless movie. Anything to take my mind off it. Sorry you had a bad day
ETA: Also, when my day's THAT bad, I always re-evaluate my job and whether or not it's still right for me. I try to do that every now and then, anyway

that is what i was going to say- drink at least one glass of wine and sit on the couch and relax. maybe even a bath.. baths usually work for me.
