I try to stay out of it no matter WHAT the situation is.. like, dislike, etc.
Honestly I will ALWAYS be the outsider in the family and no matter what I say it will be wrong or can be turned around against me.

in any situation i usually listen and give no feedback or response...
and NEVER EVER repeat it...
that would most definitely start conflicts

My inlaws are really amazing people and I have never heard either one say anything bad about each other OR other people.  The reason why I married DH (other than the fact that I love him) is because his family members actually loves each other and NEVER talk about each other. My family is another story. 
I absolutely HATE GOSSIP! Everyone knows that, so they don't tell me anything...my family is not so great!

my inlaws have never talked trash about anyone they are also a close family my family is also good but when it comes to my aunts husband(#3 husband) which i posted a few weeks ago about thats another story. he actually says he hates everyone in the family and he does not like us. so you know what we dont like him either so you are not hurting my feelings i will just stay away from him.

It very rarely happens but when it does, I also listen but give no input, in any of the scenarios. I know with his family, it would come back and bite me in the butt!
