I just got called for Grand Jury Duty
I have to figure out what to do because I am still breastfeeding and Jaidy is allergic to milk I don't pump either.

Yeah i would get a letter from your peds and see if it can be postponed. Do you work FT? Usually you can get a pardon from jury duty if child is at young age and you dont work, or work a minimum amt of hours.

There is a SAHM exception which will buy you 4 years, unless you have another baby. I did it when Grace was younger before I went back to work.
ETA: You need to call and talk to a person. They told me to write on my summons that I was a SAHM who was breast feeding.

The problem is I work F/T and she comes to work with me. (I work in Day Care) So I just bring her into my office when she needs to nurse.

But you are allowed to postpone once. So postpone now and maybe when they call you again you won't be BF anymore. You can pick when you want your postponement for also so that might help you. Pick a week with a holiday so that you'll have less of a chance of getting called.

I just went on Monday. All I had to do was give them a copy of the birth certificate. It only gets you out of it for 6 months but now that I went in person I just have to keep sending in a copies of the birth certificate. They said that there was an unlimited amount of postpone them as long as you go there once.
It started at 9 and we got out of there by 10:30-11...so it was nice to have a free day off from work to spend it with the boys....
Honestly it wasnt bad.

I would call and explain that you are breastfeeding. That your child has the ability to be with you at your place of employment (if they should ask) but that she has a severe milk allergy and that she refuses all bottles so she cannot be away from you for more than x amount of hours!
