 | Spinoff to Painting the Nursery I know a bunch of us painted the nursery prior to the baby being born. For those that didn't do a gender-neutral color does it make you nervous not knowing if it is a boy or girl 100%??
We painted ours lavendar and are doing a butterfly theme. I am trying to set up so when the baby comes home but I'm afraid to open things up. what happens if there was a mistake after 3 sonograms said girl?? What happens if there is a penis there???

 | Re: Spinoff to Painting the Nursery I just posted about this being my fear in another thread. I am so afraid of going all girly and then scrambling because it ends up being a boy. I doesn't help that it happened to my cousin.
I'm struggling with whether I should go little more neutral just in case!!

P.S. I think this is my own paranoia b/c most of the time they're accurate.

 | Re: Spinoff to Painting the Nursery i was fine with thinking all girl but at my shower people made comments about all the pink and purple and what happens if its a boy! so they got me more nervous than anything.
3 times they told me its a girl because they see 3 slits. there didnt seem to be any doubt..but the closer i get the more nervous i get!

 | Re: Spinoff to Painting the Nursery well this happened to a friend of mine. Her doctor told her girl and said they were 90% sure, well the last month she had these intense dreams she was having a boy, she told her husband he thought she was crazy so she went and had a sonogram and low and behold they were Wrong and she had a boy!!!! she had 3 weeks to redo the nursery and return all the gifts and clothes to boy colors!!!!
I dont trust those test after hearing that. good luck and keep having them check!

 | Re: Spinoff to Painting the Nursery That is one of the biggest reasons I didn't want to know. It happened to a friend of mine. They told her it was a girl and then her SON had everything in Minnie Mouse. I hope that this one is a girl and I feel pretty strongly it is. Keeping my fingers crossed but I just want he/she to be healthy. It's been a rough pregnancy this time around.
I felt pretty strongly w/my son that he was a boy and I was right. So we will see.
